Old Dog Tavern opened in 2010 as a place for people to gather and enjoy a cold drink, a hot meal, and a night out. The building has been many things since its doors originally opened in the late 1800s: a paper company, a candy company, a brewery, and now, a revitalized music venue. The indoor space is no stranger to live music, as those who remember Kraftbrau know well, and shortly after re-opening as Old Dog, an outdoor stage and backyard area were added to the property. We take pride not only in providing some of the best pub food and drink in town, but also supporting local and regional artists who need a place to display their talent. 

 We believe having a place to gather and spend time with friends, old and new, is important to building community, and strive to be that place for Kalamazoo. Our goal is to be the place you want to be.

Old Dog Tavern, located in the historic Star Paper Co. building, dedicates itself to providing a unique experience in Kalamazoo. We enjoy collaborating with our family of talented employees and members of the community in building a relaxed and entertaining environment.

Old Dog houses a variety of talented artists and musicians and has plenty of unique spaces to host your event. And yes, there is free ping-pong. Cheers!
